Pete was my husband and love of my life. He was also a loving Dad and Grandad,Brother,brother-in-law and uncle. He was the person that made good friends and kept them. He is greatly missed by us all. He had a great sense of humour which he kept even when he was very poorly.

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and the days before that too.
I think of you in silence,I often speak your name.
All I have is memories and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake with which I'll never part.
God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart.

Pete

Only got to know you when Sal met my brother, but what a wicked sense of humour you had, which I'm glad to say your grand-daughter Erin has inherited from you. I know my brother thought alot of you and still does. Just wanted to let you know that we are always thinking of you and wish that we could have known you longer and will do our best to look after Anne, Sal, Holly and Erin, Love from Shelley and family xxxxx

I said, 'God, I hurt.'
And God said, 'I know.'

I said, 'God, I cry a lot.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you tears.'

I said 'God, I am so depressed.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you Sunshine.'

I said, 'God, life is so hard.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you loved ones.'

I said, 'God, my loved one died.'
And God said, 'So did mine.'

I said, 'God, it is such a loss.'
And God said, 'I saw mine nailed to a cross.'

I said, 'God, but your loved one lives.'
And God said, 'So does yours.'

I said, 'God, where are they now?'
And God said, 'Mine is on My right and yours will be in the Light.'

I said, 'God, it hurts.'
And God said, 'I know...'

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side

Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.
